About Albania

Albania is undergoing a strong transition, with at present an annual GPD growth rate of over 5%. Its vast stretches of unspoilt nature with more than 450 km of coastline as well as the highland with mountains and lakes are an enormous potential for development.

The mild Mediterranean climate along the coast contrasts with that in mountain regions, where snow lays up to 5-6 months a year. Albania is easlily accessible by land, sea or air – the neighbouring countries are Greece, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, and ferries cross frequently from Italian and Croatian ports.
Albanians have an open and welcoming attitude, and it is very easy to get by with English, Italian or Greek, as most Albanians know several languages.
