Vlora

Vlora is a port town with a long history, situated in a pretty bay between the Adratic and the Ionian Sea. It enjoys a beautiful location with easily accessible long sandy beaches to one side, and the well-known Llogara pass to the south with pine forests and recreation areas, leading to the more remote beaches and resorts on the Ionian side.
It is also a good base to visit the ancient archeological sites of Oricum and Apollonia. Besides its connections by sea it lies on the road linking Tirana with Gjirokaster and Greece.
